Australia is on fire
Australia has been burning since October, well from what I know anyway. When Iain and I first embarked on our road trip down the east coast of Australia, we were on fire watch, making sure we didn’t end up in an area that was burning. As we drove down we passed many forests that had been incinerated and left lonely trees black with soot. It was quite a scary sight.

If you’re in a bikini, do you expect to be harassed?
Along with hotter weather comes fewer layers of clothing or skimpier outfits. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this as I am definitely a proud owner of a short dress or 10. But, as we sat on the beach it became apparent that some people believe that this lack of clothing - you are on a beach - is an invitation.

The flat Christmas party
The flat Christmas dinner had been planned for a couple of weeks, we all had our cooking roles and we all had our own traditions we were going to bring to the table. As our flat currently consists of 2 Kiwis, 1 English, 1 Scot and 1 Scot/Aussie we had a variety of traditions which we all wanted to include. But there is one very important thing that Australian Christmas does not include, Pigs in blankets.
